About the Farmwife

Welcome to Happy Hens Farm! I am Michelle Schneider. My husband, three children, and I live on 5 acres of paradise in Eastern Washington, along with one crazy dachshund,a labradoodle puppy, one cat who adopted us, and numerous chickens. I am blessed to be a full time homemaker. I find great inspiration in the natural world and want to observe all that’s around me. I love the artistic life and aim to infuse all I do with beauty. The Lord gave me many talents and passions and I use them to His glory!

Things you may not know about me:

  • I grew up in a small town in North Idaho. My dad has worked in the lumber industry all his life. Consequently, my childhood was spent in the woods.
  • I love living in the Western U.S. with all my heart. I crave wide open spaces, old barns, and well-fitting cowboy boots!
  • I have an identical twin sister, who lives nearby. We are very close.
  • I married my high school sweetheart. My sister’s husband and my husband were childhood friends. (I told you it was a small town!)
  • I was an elementary school teacher before I had children.
  • I am a breast cancer survivor, 8 years and counting. Praise the Lord!

I look forward to sharing my life with you. My desire is to have a place where I can talk about my passions, dreams and artistic endeavors. I want to hear from other like minds!

Gratefully yours-Michelle

“Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-a place near Your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;they are ever praising You.”Psalm 84:3-4
